Based from what I read. The zodiac signs determine what you character is... Even sometimes predicts your future. The signs names are made by the constellations in the stars. Also another thing that people believe in about the zodiac signs are each sign is ruled by a planet. For example since I am a Sagittarius I get my characteristics from the planet Jupiter.
